The outside area is the stockyard area and we have prepared the area for having modern stockyard practices and part of the area may be used for actual steelwork production in the future.

The two bays are or were largely steel working facilities for section and plate processing preperation, in terms of flatening, cleaning, burning (cutting) and served by a 10 ton overhead crane in bay 2. We plan to have much plate prep carried out at digitally connected UK steel mills that could carry out parts nestling cutting, brackets,  deck traverses, floors, shell and deck plating etc. This can save time and space in the ship factory for more fabrication volume with possibly a small burning redundancy for possible unforseen needs. The waste stays at the steel mills, is reprocessed and Pallion does not pay for the waste. It is more efficient and greener.
